Since 1988, founder Jim Eppolito discovered the need for high-quality sound reinforcement for his live music company, West Coast Music. After years of hiring sound companies throughout Southern California, he began to see a trend of mediocre sound with sloppy setups, relaxed attire, and "rock-concert" attitudes leaving his musicians and clients with much to be desired.
Thus, Design Sound was born. The vision when opening Design Sound was to create a sound services business that would provide our customers with premium sound coupled with exceptional looking gear, aesthetic setup, and friendly, knowledgeable, well-dressed staff. Our engineers are chosen not only for the quality of their skill but also for their quality as people. Each member of our team places highest priority on the needs of the client and event, and none carry that "rock-concert" attitude.
